Super Pole Akrapovic: BOLT remains the benchmark.

This is one of the key moments of the evenings of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship, the Super Pole Akrapovic launches the debates and sets the tone for the evening competition. The first TOP 7 of this 2022 season was dominated by the winner of 2020… Billy BOLT (GBR-Husqvarna).

But the British rider was accompanied by 6 brave opponents who will experience different degrees of fortunes in this first exercise of the year.  To establish a reference time, it is necessary to clock a time under the minute. Will HOARE (GBR-Gas Gas) was the first to start, but the compatriot from BOLT still lacks experience at this level of competition. He stops the stopwatch in 1:00.45.  It is then Manuel LETTENBICHLER (GER-KTM) who takes the track in the Atlas Arena in Lodz, the German participates in his first Super Pole in  5 years, his time in 58.796 confirms that the KTM rider has absolutely not lost  his sense of attack.  He signed the third best time with this time.  It was Cody WEBB (USA-Sherco)'s turn to set off but still under the shock of a huge fall in free practice, the American remained a little on the reserve, he qualified by setting the fourth fastest time in 59,749.  For his comeback in the world tour, Colton HAAKER (USA-Husqvarna) did not go by half measures. He signs the second reference time (56.833) and is considered as one of the big favorite of the event. Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta) has yet to take his marks of his brand new 2-stroke Beta, the Englishman gets trapped leaving the stone section.  He will not end up Super Pole. Same sanction for Taddy BLAZUSIAK (POL-Gas Gas), a fall and a stopwatch which places him penultimate in this top 7. Big disappointment for the Polish who had the support of his home crowd, Taddy will provide the show for the rest of the evening.

So Billy BOLT sets the best time in the first Akrapovic Super Pole of the season. His time is the only one below 56 seconds (55.133) he is 1.7 seconds faster than HAAKER. Next Super Pole is Jerusalem, new destination and possibly a new winner.  See you at the end of January to find out.
