Jonny WALKER confirms

In 2023, the promoters of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship have decided to reward, with their partner Airoh, the riders who have mastered the art of getting off to a good start. This season, the Airoh Holeshot will reward the driver(s) who cross the first corner in the lead. This reward will be awarded in the queen category: the Prestige but also in the Junior category in order to give extra motivation to the young SuperEnduro class.

A SuperEnduro evening is made up of three rounds. Each final is an opportunity to take the lead in the race under the Airoh gate. In Riesa, the mark to pass is placed just after a 45 degree turn. Technical and delicate, this start will measure the talent but also the courage of all the competitors of the World SuperEnduro. In the first Prestige Final, Billy BOLT (GBR-Husqvarna) took advantage of his best place on the grid. The Brit signs the first holeshot of the evening. He is closely followed by Cody WEBB (USA-Sherco) and Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta). In the second final, the start is with the reversed grid. The fastest pilots set off behind the rest of the pack. It was the South African Blake GUTZEIT (TM) who won this second round. WALKER follows close while BOLT gets a bit trapped and locked in the back of the peloton. There is still a final to be raced to determine the winner of the 2023 German Grand Prix. Jonny WALKER shows off his expertise and takes the last holeshot of the evening. Confident after his victory in the previous heat, the Beta pilot took off at the head of the heat while BOLT once again found himself in difficulty. The Husqvarna rider managed to take the victory of this race on the last lap! BOLT wins the German Grand Prix while Jonny WALKER once again pockets the €300 which rewards the winner of the Airoh holeshot.

In the Junior category, Milan SCHMUESER (GER-Sherco) offers himself a small consolation of not having yet won a race this season. The German driver was dominated by the two BRIGHTMORE brothers: Mitch and Ashton. He won the Airoh Holeshot in the youth category and the €200 reward that goes with it. The next confrontation will take place on February 4 in Budapest for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
