Portugese Riders Arrive En Masse!

The starting grid for the forthcoming SEWC season continues to fill up, and we have just heard of a two further rookies to join the field. Joao LOURENCO (P - Sherco) and Diogo VIEIRA (P - Beta) will challenge among the stars of SuperEnduro from 10 December at the Tauron Arena in Krakow (Poland).

Last season, Luis OLIVEIRA (P - Yamaha) was the only Portuguese rider in SEWC and it seems that the 2016 Portuguese Champion has inspired his fellow countrymen...
We will not see the Yamaha rider return again this year, but his compatriots - who he competes against in the Portuguese Championship - Diogo VIEIRA and Joao LOURENCO (3rd in 2016) will be present throughout the 2016/17 SEWC championship.

Whilst for LOURENCO it will all be new, VIEIRA has experienced the thrill of SuperEnduro before; he competed in the 2015 finale in Madrid and finished in a brilliant 2nd place in the National race. Both will participate in the Prestige category and will have to make it through the qualification heats in order to challenge BLAZUSIAK, HAAKER, WALKER and otherts in the evening’s Main Event.

These two new riders show the interest that SuperEnduro has garnered in Iberia, and there’s no doubt that VIEIRA and LOURENCO will be eager to show that there is plenty of talent in Portugal.
