Billy BOLT puts on the triple crown

The official Husqvarna rider became World Champion, last Saturday, for the third time in his career. This new title is confirmation that the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship has entered a new era under the reign of King Billy. The British domination is also confirmed in Junior since the young Mitch BRIGHTMORE seizes the title in his first SuperEnduro season.

The evening in Gliwice in Poland was really intense since all the places on the World Championship podiums were still to be distributed. For Billy BOLT (GBR-Husqvarna) the situation seemed rather simple, but the 24MX leader had to confirm his first place in the general classification. For that, he had to win the Superpole and if possible win the first final of the evening in the Arena of Gliwice heated white by 10,500 passionate spectators. BOLT will not make the suspense last any longer since in addition to setting the reference time, he will win the first race ahead of his friend Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta). The Briton will have tried everything to delay the deadline, but BOLT was firmly determined to seal the fate of the championship from the start of this last round of the season. He won Final 1 ahead of WALKER and an incredible Taddy BLAZUSIAK (POL-GASGAS). The Pole is in the fight with Cody WEBB (USA-Sherco) for the last place on the podium of the 2023 season. All evening, the two boys will offer the public a fight which will remain one of the highlights of the year. In the following round, Billy BOLT signs a new victory in front of his eternal runner-up Jonny WALKER. Third place went to WEBB who paid back BLAZUSIAK, who finished just behind his best enemy of the day. The third place in the championship will therefore be decided in the last round of the season. As usual, Billy BOLT quickly takes the lead and will no longer be joined by his opponents. The Briton signs his 14th victory in 15 contested rounds in 2023. The Briton's statistics are quite simply from another world and bear witness to the insolent domination of Billy The Dog. This domination is the result of hard work and attention to detail on the part of number 97. For the last place on the podium, it is a boosted Taddy BLAZUSIAK who will, with panache, get the big result that the Pole had been waiting for since the start of the season. By crossing the finish in 2nd place after overtaking Jonny WALKER and overthrowing Cody WEBB, the six-time world champion and veteran of the discipline climbs to the bottom step of the overall podium. Billy BOLT is therefore once again champion of the world ahead of Jonny WALKER and the Polish legend.

Triumph for Mitch and the BRIGHTMORE family in Junior.

The British domination on the Superenduro planet is total since not content with having won the title in Prestige, the subjects of his gracious majesty also make a clean sweep in the Junior category. Mitch BRIGHTMORE (GASGAS) wins ahead of his younger brother Ashton and the German Milan SCHMUESER (Sherco) who will have broken his teeth all season on this incredible BRIGHTMORE family. The youngest of the family finished 2nd with the same number of points as the Sherco rider, but with two victories to his name, he finished second to his big brother. In 5 Grand-Prix, the two brothers will have let slip only one victory during the final of Gliwice. This is an unprecedented result in the discipline. It seems useless to doubt that next season these two boys will still be ones to watch. Something tells us the youngest Ashton would love to be on top of the world in 2024.
