End of the Season for Alfredo GOMEZ!

Currently 6th in the FIM Maxxis SuperEnduro World Championship 2018, the Spanish star Alfredo GOMEZ (Husqvarna) seriously injured his right leg at the beginning of the week.

In training with Husqvarna Factory team-mate Colton HAAKER (USA), the 2017 Vice Champion fell on Tuesday afternoon on his own training track. He was immediately transported to the hospital, where the doctors announced that GOMEZ had badly broken his fibula as well sustaining serious damage to the ligaments of his right knee. Even though he is expecting further examinations, the rider from Madrid should received surgery in the next few days...

Andi HÖLZL - Rockstar Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager: "We do not yet know the full extent of the damage from Alfredo's injury. It was not a very big fall. For the moment, we just know that Alfredo fractured the fibula as well as damaged ligaments of the knee, but we expect a more precise report. The team joins me in wishing him a good recovery and we hope to see him again soon by our side."

With this injury, the season of one of the top guns of the championship is over and all the SuperEnduro paddock join ABC Communication in wishing him a speedy recovery, hoping to find him back next season stronger than ever.
