Billy BOLT: Red suits him so well

The second round of the MotoZ FIM SuperEnduro World Championship took place in Poland at the Tauron Arena in Krakow. The Polish Grand Prix once again lived up to its reputation. All the contested rounds offered a huge show from which Billy BOLT and Ashton BRIGHTMORE emerged victorious.

Bolt

Winner of the first GP of the season in France, the reigning world champion was determined to continue his winning streak. Best time in the Superpole, the Englishman immediately got to work in the first final. Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta) follows his pace. During most of this first round, BOLT is under pressure from his compatriot. The Polish track is very technical and the two men put up an impressive battle full of control. The risk-taking is maximum but neither of them makes a mistake. BOLT wins but WALKER seems more dangerous than ever. This is confirmed in the following heat, taking advantage of the reversed grid Jonny WALKER takes control of the round after he passed the 2023 Junior World Champion Mitch BRIGHTMORE. BOLT is stuck in the traffic and is slower than usual to get back on WALKER. When he is in second position, the Beta rider is more than 8 seconds ahead of the Husqvarna official. He wins the round and puts an end to BOLT's series of victories. The last final is necessary to know the winner of the Polish GP. This final will be as hotly contested as the previous ones, WALKER clinging to the pace of the championship leader. BOLT wins this last race and secures a great victory in Krakow. With this success, he continues to increase his statistics and confirms his domination in a discipline that he discovered in 2018. He is ahead of Jonny WALKER and Will HOARE (GBR-Beta) who climbed on his second world championship podium. The top 3 is identical to the first event in Liévin. BOLT has already scored 123 points in 2024, he is ahead of WALKER by 14 points and HOARE is logically third in the general classification, 27 points behind WALKER. The British trio perfectly dominates the start of the season. BOLT leaves 2023 with the red 24MX plate firmly locked on its Husqvarna.

Ashton BRIGHTMORE takes control of the Junior class

The younger brother of the 2023 Junior world champion, Ashton BRIGHTMORE took control of the Junior category. Winner of two rounds out of three, the young Briton made up for his difficult French GP. Fast and uncompromising on the difficulties of the course, he managed to control Suff SELLA (ISR-KTM) and Roland LISZKA (HUN-KTM). Brilliant during the opening in France, the Israeli suffered in Poland. Third in the GP, behind the very consistent Hungarian and winner of the second round, SELLA leaves the lead in the general classification to BRIGHTMORE for three small points ! There is no doubt that the return of Milan SCHMUESER (GER-Sherco), for his national GP in Riesa (Germany) at the start of January, should cause trouble in the leading trio.
