A seat for 3

We have chosen three pilots, but there are many  more to be able to claim victory in the SachsenArena in Riesa in Germany. The leader of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship Billy BOLT (GBR-Husqvarna) is once again the big favorite but the performances seen during the opening round in Krakow may suggest that BOLT is not invincible.

Riesa

Runner-up in 2022, Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta) has so far always stood out. Due to his handling finesse and the flexibility of his throttle, the Briton seems able to match Billy BOLT. But this “bugger” Husqvarna official has always managed to get the upper hand on his compatriot. BOLT is undefeated in SuperEnduro since Riesa 2020. Could the 2023 edition be the one that sees the double world champion getting caught failing? Impeccable in Poland for the opening round where he won each of the three finals, BOLT is not yet at 100% of his potential. His opponents have been warned and will try to shake him up this weekend.

Cody WEBB wants to start on the right foot

If WALKER seems well placed to lead the revolt, Cody WEBB (USA-Sherco) could also be part of it. In Krakow, the American climbed on his first world podium since 2019. Full of confidence in his potential, the Sherco official could well try to continue his progress. If the physical condition follows, WEBB is capable of fighting with the best. Confident in his equipment and delighted to have finally found settings that suit him, Cody WEBB will be a threat not to be overlooked. Of course, it would be very presumptuous to dismiss the legend Taddy BLAZUSIAK (POL-GasGas) from a potential place on the podium. The Pole is eager to forget his first round of the season. The multiple world champion still has it under his feet and he should react in this beautiful evening in Riesa.

His compatriot Dominik OZLOWY (GasGas), Junior Champion 2022, had a complicated baptism among the elite of the discipline. He will be keen to improve his performance, finishing his heats on the same lap as the leader would be a great satisfaction for the young GasGas rider. Tim APOLLE (GER-Beta) will also want to confirm the good dispositions he showed in Krakow. Cooper ABBOTT (Sherco-USA) and Eddie KARLSSON (SWE-KTM) will also want to confirm that they deserve their place in the Prestige category. Alfredo GOMEZ (SPA-Rieju) will also be able to raise his level and cause trouble in the top five of the evening.

Can the Brightmore family confirm in Junior?

Revelation of the opening round in Poland, Mitch BRIGHTMORE (GBR-GasGas) will he be able to repeat his success from Krakow? Just like BOLT, his compatriot in Prestige, the GasGas boy won the three evening finals under the nose and beard of the big favorite Milan SCHMUESER (GER-Sherco). The German rider will be keen to refocus the debates at home. If the Sherco rider does not want to see BRIGHTMORE fly away in the general classification, he will have to react firmly. Ashton BRIGHTMORE (GBR-GasGas) will be keen to confirm the good performances he also posted in the wake of his older brother. The Junior category will once again be a very open competition with three grand finals to follow during the main event at the Sachsen Arena.

Europe has 28 drivers entered for this German round. It seems very complicated to point out a favorite among all these talented boys eager to shine in front of a knowledgeable and enthusiastic public. As usual, the enclosure for this second round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship will be packed. For those of you who wish, you can follow all the action of evening from the Akrapovic Superpole to all the finals from 6.00 p.m. and live on: superenduro.tv
