DAVID KNIGHT is back… on a GAS GAS!

After recently injuring his hand at the British Enduro Championship, Danny MCCANNEY (GB-Gas Gas) has decided to end his FIM Maxxis World SuperEnduro Championship season. But it seems that the Catalan firm, Gas Gas, believe in the Brits; because it is another rider from the Isle of Man who will replace MCCANNEY!

Indeed, the "old warrior" David KNIGHT will be back in the SuperEnduro paddock this weekend in Malaga (Spain) for the 3rd round of the Championship, where he will line up on a 300cc Gas Gas against WEBB, HAAKER, BLAZUSIAK, WALKER and others ...

A double World Enduro Champion in 2005 and 2006, David KNIGHT went on to win several major titles in the US in 2007 and 2008 (GNCC, EnduroCross ..), he then became one of the first World SuperEnduro Champions in 2007! He subsequently signed for the Factory BMW squad, and "KNIGHTER" had to wait until 2011 for another Enduro title. Thereafter he had injury woes and needed to undergo several operations on his hip. He then returned successfully to SuperEnduro, with a Vice World Champion position in 2014!

The quadruple World Champion remains on good form and manages to achieve, year after year, some quality performances... .and although he will soon be 40 years old, the giant from the Isle of Man retains good physical shape and a young mindset which will certainly allow him to shine this weekend in Malaga with the Gas Gas colours - which he will represent throughout 2018.

Who knows if KNIGHTER is capable of a nice surprise in Andalucia ....

To find out follow the action LIVE on Saturday 17th February from 19:30 CET on superenduro.org!
