BOLT vs BLAZUSIAK: Act IV!

Just two weeks after a Spanish Grand Prix which saw Billy BOLT (GB - Husqvarna) regain control of the provisional standings, the SuperEnduro stars will meet again on Saturday February 1st to do battle in Budapest, Hungary.

For the second year in a row, Hungary is on the SuperEnduro calendar thanks to Adam HADOBAS and his team at Race4U Promotion.

Once again the Papp Laszlo Sportarena has been chosen to host the 4th round of the season. Opened in 2003, this hall has hosted many international events such as the European Women's Handball Championships, the Indoor Athletics Championships, and the European Women's Basketball Championships. The Papp Laszlo Sportarena will welcome 8,500 people this Saturday, all keen to see the SuperEnduro action and a great show.

Can WALKER Catch Up?

A Coruña may have confirmed Billy BOLT’s confidence and ability to completely dominate a race, even in front of the likes of Taddy BLAZUSIAK (PL - KTM) and Jonny WALKER (GB - KTM)! And the factory Husqvarna rider is therefore the man to beat since he leads the Championship, and he will therefore have to go from hunter to hunted, a role he did not really excel at in Riesa in early January. And while BOLT may be the fastest, he will have to reduce his mistakes as much as possible, otherwise he will come up against the experience and skills of BLAZUSIAK, who perfectly took advantage of the Brit’s struggles in Germany to take control of the night.
As well as BLAZUSIAK, BOLT will also have to be wary of his compatriot WALKER who is 33 points behind. The factory KTM rider, who is gaining strength as the season progresses, will try everything in order to be able to fight for the title at the end of the season in Poland, and achieve one of the biggest comebacks in the history of the discipline. Behind this amazing Top 3, Alfredo GOMEZ (Husqvarna) could well come in and make life tricky for those in front of him.
For his part, Blake GUTZEIT (RSA - KTM) will seek to consolidate his place in the Top 5 of the category but he will have to go up against Pol TARRES (E - Husqvarna).

Finally, we expected more from Kevin GALLAS (D - Husqvarna) and Diogo VIEIRA (P - Yamaha) this season, while Tim APOLLE (D - Sherco), 7th, William HOARE (GB - KTM), 9th, and Emil JUSZCZAK (PL - Beta), 10th, will seek to confirm their spots in the Top 10.

Junior: The Title Fight Heats Up!

In the Junior class, Leon HENTSCHEL (D - Husqvarna) is the brand new points leader, but he is only 5 points ahead of his nearest rival Ty CULLINS (USA - TM), 13 ahead of Teodor KABAKCHIEV (B - KTM) and 17 ahead of Adrien JACON (F - KTM). This fight among the Juniors is set to become even more intense with four riders all able to take the title at Round 5!
Dominik OLSZOWY (PL - KTM), Milan SCHMUESER (D - Sherco), Isaac DEVOULX (F - Husqvarna), Raul GUIMERA (E - Sherco) and Fabien POIROT (F - Husqvarna) should also fight at the forefront in order to chase podiums and fight for the last spot in the Top 5. Finally, we could also witness the rise of riders such as Tom KNIGHT (GB - Sherco), Sebastian ENÖCKL (AUT - KTM), Oskar KACZMARCZYK (PL - KTM) or Thomas WIDD (GB - Sherco)!

After a weekend off, the European Cup resumes in Budapest for its final round! And everything remains open between Sweden’s Magnus THOR (Husqvarna) and Italy’s Sonny GOGGIA (Beta), as well as the Slovenian Miha SPINDLER (KTM)!
All this is sure to mean a fierce fight at the Papp Laszlo Sportarena!
We should also have a great battle for 4th and 5th places between Alessandro AZZALINI (I - Husqvarna), Pascal SPRINGMANN (D - Beta), Marco PFEIFER (D - KTM) and Thomas SCHLEY (D - KTM).

After three incredible rounds, no clear winner has emerged in any of the three categories, the stakes are high for this Hungarian GP where WALKER will have to go “all-in” in order to keep a chance of the title, and where BOLT will have to prove that he can hold off BLAZUSIAK full-time. And that’s without mentioning all the action in the Junior and European Cup classes!
