Another electrifying Grand Prix filled with unpredictability and madness took place on Saturday night at the Bizkaia Arena, Bilbao, in front of 6,500 spectators! The gap is narrowing in the Prestige class, while Kevin GALLAS (D - Husqvarna) has "a hand and a half" placed on the World Champion’s plate!

In Prestige everything was looking good for the 24MX leader, Cody WEBB (USA - KTM), who took advantage of mistakes made by Colton HAAKER (USA - Husqvarna) and Taddy BLAZUSIAK (PL - KTM) to win the first two races of the evening. Then, in the final race of the night, things took an unexpected turn and the American suffered several successive falls, each more spectacular than the last. Despite this, the Factory KTM rider was still able to cling on to 3rd spot in Bilbao, and retains his 24MX Leader Plate. But his nearest rival, Taddy BLAZUSIAK, is getting dangerously close to him...
With one round to go, WEBB now has just 17 points on the Pole, while Billy BOLT (GB - Husqvarna) holds onto third place but will have to work hard to resist the comeback of Jonny WALKER (GB - KTM)...

In Junior, the victory streak of Kevin GALLAS stopped at 7 consecutive wins! The German still enjoyed a successful evening, winning two out of three! The Husqvarna rider consolidates his 24MX Leader Plate with a huge 56 point gap on Emil JUSZCZAK (PL - KTM)...
GALLAS needed only 4 points more to be crowned 2018 Junior World Champion!

This second running of the Euskadi Grand Prix offered a brilliant show to spectators present in the Bizkaia Arena as well as the many viewers online. As BLAZUSIAK gets closer to the 24MX leader, WEBB, the final event to be held at the Sparbanken Arena in Lidköping (Sweden) on March 31 will be worth its weight in gold...
